Accident on the Alabama & Florida
{(of Alabama)} Railroad |
We learn that an accident
occurred on this road last night {October 26?}
near Evergreen, which resulted in serious damage to two or more
of the passenger cars. It is stated that an engineer, with an engine
unattached, ran down the regular passenger train, which was running on
time, overturning the seats and passengers, and creating a mess
generally, but inflicting no loss of life. This road, from all we hear,
and from what we read in the Mobile papers, is really in want of
competent officers. |
