Railroad Collisions |
A serious collision occurred
on last Friday morning {the 1st} on the Alabama & Florida {of
Alabama} railroad below Greenville, by which two were killed
and forty-two wounded, three of who have since died. On the same day a
collision occurred on the Mobile & Ohio railroad above Enterprise,
Mississippi, damage not known; and on Monday
{the 4th} another collision took
place on the Mobile & Ohio railroad above Citronella, Alabama. The
last was very serious, on train running into the rear end of another,
cutting in two a car filled with soldiers, a number of whom were
killed and wounded. |
