Rail Road Passage and Freights Increased |
Whereas, the expenses of the
company have been largely increased in running the trains and in keeping
in repair the roadbed and machinery, in consequence of the high prices
of materials and provisions of all kinds required by the company. |
Resolved, That to
provide for this increase of expense the rate of passage will be raised
to five cents per mile from and after the 15th day of May instant, and
that there will be a reasonable increase in the rates of freights so
soon as the schedule can be properly arranged. |
