Found Dead |
At 4 o'clock P. M., 21st Sept., a man, supposed to be an
Irishman, 5 feet 6 inches high, weighing 150 to 160 pounds, aged
about 30 years, was found dead near No. 8 12, on Central
{(of Georgia)} Railroad, Burke Co., Ga.
It is supposed his death was caused by falling from the cars. He was
dressed in uniform, blue pants and blue flannel shirt, with bayonet
and cartridge box. On his person was found a one dollar bill on the
Bank of Columbus, and 35 cents in silver. No papers were found upon
his person to designate his name or whereabouts. |
