| Election |

At an election held last evening, at the drill room of
the Oglethorpe Light Infantry, Company B, for a Captain and
First Lieutenant, the following gentlemen were elected: |

Captain -- F. W. Sims |
|
1st Lieutenant -- Henry C. Freeman |
|
The corps, at their meeting last evening, appointed a
detachment to leave for Charleston this afternoon, to receive the
body of General F. S. Bartow, and act as an escort. |
