Shortest and Most Convenient Route to
Thomasville, Ga., Madison C. H., Fla., Tallahassee, St. Marks, Lake
City, &c. |
On and after Wednesday, 17th
April, 1861, the cars will leave and run daily (Sundays excepted,) as
follows, in close connection with the Charleston & Savannah
Railroad: |

Connecting at
Groover's (No. 17) with a daily line of first class four horse
coaches to Monticello, Fla. (18 miles). Arriving at Monticello
in time to connect with the cars of the P. & G. R. R. to
Tallahassee and St. Marks. |

Connecting twice
monthly with the U. S. Mail Steamers on the 2d to New Orleans,
Key West and other intermediate Florida ports, and on the 17th

on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a daily line of coaches to
Madison C. H. Fla. Returning on alternate days. |
Connecting at Valdesta (No.
15) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with a line of coaches to
Madison C. H. Fla. touching at Clyatville, Ga., and Bellville, Fla.
Returning on alternate days. |
Connecting at McIntosh (No.
13, going West) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a line of
coaches to Darien, via Riceboro. Returning on alternate days. |
N. B. -- Freight trains leave
Savannah on Mondays and Thursdays, at 6:30 A. M.; return on Mondays
and Thursday, at 11 A. M. Freight to be forwarded by freight train
must be delivered at the Savannah Depot the day previous to shipment,
excepting live stock, which, after having given one day's notice, will
be received on the day of departure, if delivered at the Depot thirty
minutes before the leaving time. Freight by Passenger Train should be
delivered at the Depot at least 30 minutes before the regular time of
departure. Double regular rates to be charged on all such freight,
excepting oysters, fruit, fresh fish, fresh meat, and other perishable
articles. Freight received and forwarded to No. 16. |
