The Pensacola Railroad Completed
{Alabama & Florida (of Florida) RR} |
The Pensacola Railroad is now
completed, and regular trains have commenced running. On Friday evening
the first engine came through to Montgomery, and on Saturday morning the
first full train. This carried down Capt. Clanton and his company of
"Mounted Rifles," who have been waiting some days in Montgomery for the
gap in the road to be closed. Several heavy guns and mortars were also
sent down yesterday. |
