Special Meeting of Council |
Savannah, March 18th, 1863 |

At a special meeting of Council, convened this day, the
following members were present: His Honor, Thomas Holcome, Mayor;
Aldermen Gue, Turner, Williamson, Lachlison, O'Byrne, Roberts, Wyliy,
Brigham and Lippman. |
The following resolutions were introduced and adopted: |
By Alderman Gue: |
Resolved, That the superintendents and agents of
railroads and steamboats running from this city be requested not to
carry any provisions out of the city, except such as are shipped by the
military authorities or for family supplies. |
Resolved further, That the Mayor be empowered to
give permits for all goods passing in transitu. |
Council adjourned. |
