An Unfortunate Affair |
We learn that a sad accident
took place at Rutledge, on the Georgia Railroad, on yesterday. It
appears that a Mr. Shipley was in the act of handling a rifle when the
piece was accidently discharged, the ball entering the right side of the
head of a Mr. Nott, ranging to the back. Mr. Nott was not dead at last
accounts, but his chances for recovery are considered very doubtful.
Both of the young men are residents of Atlanta, and are employed on the
Georgia railroad |
