The Cotton in Augusta |
The Constitutionalist
learns that ample arrangements are made for the removal, by the
Railroads, of all the cotton in Augusta, to interior places of greater
security, in case our city becomes endangered by the advance of a
hostile force. This announcement will, we hope, quiet discussions to the
policy of burning up the cotton in case of danger to the city. |
