Fire in Macon |
A letter received in this city
from Macon, dated on Saturday last, says there was a large fire in East
Macon this morning, at an out-house of the Central
(of Georgia) Railroad Depot. A number of men were engaged in
smoking meat in a building, and from some accident the building aught
fire, and a quantity of the meat was consumed. It is considered a great
loss to the Company. |
