Land Slide on the Memphis & Clarksville
Railroad {Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville
RR} |
A heavy slide occurred on the
Memphis & Clarksville Railroad yesterday morning, some distance east of
the Tennessee river, which prevented trains from reaching the bridge. A
large force of laborers will be necessary to remove the obstruction
within the next three days. Between forty and fifty cars belonging to
the Memphis & Ohio Railroad are detained east of the point where the
accident occurred. |
