Macon & Augusta Railroad
{Milledgeville RR} |
Judging from the carts,
negroes and implements which have passed through here during the past
week, we should sat that the contractors on this road are determined to
put the work through in a short time. Col. Lockett, of Bibb, has the
contract from the Oconce to the city, two miles, and is pushing the work
on vigorously. War times do not stop enterprising men like Lockett, Orr,
Jossey & Thompson. The Macon & Augusta Railroad is a fixed fact. |
