The Burnt Bridges |
We are informed by Major L. T.
Hoss, Superintendent of the East Tennessee & Virginia Railroad, that the
burnt bridges over the Watauga and Holston are being rapidly repaired by
that most prompt and skillful of architects, A. L. Maxwell, jr. The cars
will run over the Watauga bridge in a few days, and the timbers for the
Holston are so far prepared that it will be but a short time before the
trains can resume their regular schedule. |
