Change of Schedule
Shortest and Most Convenient Route to Thomasville, Ga., Madison C. H., Fla., Tallahassee, St. Marks, Lake City, &c.
   On and after Tuesday, the 23d October, 1860, the cars will run daily (Sundays excepted) as follows:
Leave Savannah at 9:15 A. M.
Arrive at Quitman at  6:15 P. M.
   Connecting with a line of first class coaches to Madison, Fla.
Leaving Quitman at ?:00 A. M.
Arriving at Madison at  ?:00 A. M.
Leaving Madison at 6:00 A. M.
Arriving at Tallahassee at 10:00 A. M.
Leaving Tallahassee at 10:20 A. M.
Arriving at St. Marks at 11:50 A. M.
   Connecting twice monthly with the U. S. Mail Steamers to New Orleans, Key West and other intermediate Florida ports, and with Havana.
Returning
Leave St. Marks at 1:15 P. M.
Arrive at Tallahassee at 2:40 P. M.
Leave Tallahassee at 3:00 P. M.
Arrive at Madison at 7:00 P. M.
Leave Madison at 7:30 P. M.
Arrive at Quitman at 3:00 A. M.
Leave Quitman at 3:30 A. M.
   In time to connect with the cars of the Central Railroad.
   Connecting at McIntosh Station, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a line of coaches to Darien. Returning on alternate days.
   Connecting at Quitman with a daily line of coaches to Thomasville, arriving in time to connect with the coaches to Monticello and Albany. Returning on alternate days, in time to connect with the cars for Savannah.
   N. B. -- Freight train leaves Savannah on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 6:30 A. M.; return on Monday, Wednesdays and Friday, at 2:30 A. M. Freight to be forwarded by freight train must be delivered at the Savannah Depot the day previous to shipment, excepting live stock, which, after having given one day's notice, will be received on the day of departure, if delivered at the Depot thirty minutes before the leaving time. Freight by Passenger Train should be delivered at the Depot at least 30 minutes before the regular time of departure. Double regular rates to be charged on all such freight, excepting oysters, fruit, fresh fish, fresh meat, and other perishable articles. Freight received and forwarded to No. 16.
