| The State Road {Western
& Atlantic RR} is doing a better business than ever before
-- caused, doubtless, by the transportation of troops and supplies and
the enhanced inland freights consequent upon the blockade. The payment
into the Treasury for the month of July was $72,000, and for the month
of August $60,000. |
