It is said that the Messrs. Wilkes, of
Charlotte, have taken the contract to build the Piedmont Rail Road
from Greensboro' to Danville, with the exception of two miles. Our
Eastern friends, who have not lost all the negroes, have a good chance
there to get them employment. |
