Deep River Coal |
We are glad to learn from the Fayetteville
Observer that the proprietors of the Coal Mine at Egypt on Deep
River, have refitted their shaft and apparatus and that they are now
taking from the mine from 50 to 200 tons per day. |
A gentleman of Charleston offers a
contract for 10 or 15 thousand tons {about 1,250
to 1,875 carloads}, which must be waggoned two miles to the {Western}
Railroad and carried thence to Fayetteville, and Wilmington to
Charleston. |
