Cheraw & Coalfields Railroad Company |
The Convention, on Wednesday last, after
some discussion, passed the Ordinance introduced by Mr. Christian,
providing that the Stockholders of this Road may, at their discretion,
change the line of the Road so as to run it on the west side of
the Pee Dee River, crossing at or near the mouth of Little River, and
thence to the coalfields in Chatham County. This change in the line of
the Road, it is believed, will be beneficial to the Stockholders and
to the people of Stanly, Montgomery, Anson, and the upper part of
Richmond {counties}. |
