| Election |
| The election in this City on Tuesday last,
resulted in favor of the subscription of $50,000 by the City, to the
Chatham Coalfields Railroad, by a large majority. Let the Road be
built as soon as possible. Kemp P. Battle, Esq., is entitled to the
thanks of the friends of the enterprise for the zeal which he has
shown in its behalf. |
