| The Convention |
| Our readers will find the proceedings of
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in our columns today. |
| The Convention was engaged the greater
part of Monday in considering the charter of the Piedmont Railroad,
generally known as the Danville connection. The proposition to Make
Lexington the terminus of the Road in North-Carolina was voted down; and
the pending question, when the Convention adjourned on Monday evening,
was to make the "Company Shops" the terminus. |
