Raleigh, N. C., Nov. 8th, 1863 |
|
The Board of Directors of this Company,
having determined to put forward the grading of the road with vigor,
the books of subscription for the capital stock are directed to be
re-opened. This road will run into the heart of the Coal and Iron deposits
of the Deep River valley. It will be intimately connected with our
great railways. It will be on the line of the shortest route from
Richmond to Charleston. Its stock has therefore every prospect of
being profitable. The attention of those desiring investments of
funds, as well as of those who wish to aid in developing the coal and
iron resources of the Confederacy, is invited to this enterprise. |
Price of shares, $100 each. Cash payments
may be made. Subscriptions will be received by George W. Mordecai,
Esq., at the Bank of N. C., by W. H. Jones, Esq., at the Branch Bank
of Cape Fear, by the Treasurer of the Company, and by the undersigned. |
