| Lt. Gen. Pemberton had a narrow escape for
his life on the Mississippi Central railroad recently {10/19/62}.
A collision took place at Grenada, by which upwards of 30 soldiers
were killed and many wounded. The car in which Gen. Pemberton was,
only suffered slight damage. |
