Notice |
A meeting of the Stockholders of the
Raleigh & Gaston Railroad Company will be held at the Court House
in the City of Raleigh, on Thursday the 20th day of March, 1862, for
the consideration of important business, indicated by the following
extract from the proceedings of the Board of Directors at their
meeting held on the 18th instant: |
"Whereas, a charter incorporating the
Chatham Coalfields Railroad Company, has been passed by the
Convention, authorizing a subscription to the Stock in said Company on
the part of Towns, Corporations, &c, and whereas, we deem the
building of said Road of great importance to the Raleigh & Gaston
Railroad Company. |
Resolved, that a meeting of the
Stockholders of the Raleigh & Gaston Railroad Company be called on
Thursday, the 20th March next, to take into consideration the
propriety of subscribing for stock in said Company, and to determine
what amount shall be taken." |
