The news from East Tennessee is not what
we would like, so far as the railroad is concerned; but the damage
there is simply an annoyance. It used to seem a dreadful thing to have
a railroad bridge destroyed; but it has become to be considered a
small matter, as indeed it is. It seems probable that the raiders got
the punishment which they earned. |
