Two ambulance trains came down the
Fredericksburg road {Richmond, Fredericksburg
& Potomac RR} yesterday morning, bringing about seven
hundred of our wounded soldiers, including the wounded and sick who
were captured and paroled by the enemy at Ashland on Sunday last. The
cars soon went out again, bearing the committee of citizens who have
nobly devoted themselves to the work of looking after our wounded
soldiers, and assisting them to the hospitals in this city. |
