The Georgia Railroads |
Col. Dearing, of Georgia, has given the
Salisbury Watchman some interesting and encouraging information,
relative to the spirit of the people of that State. The railroads
lately destroyed by Sherman have been repaired with great rapidity.
The Georgia road has been repaired, and the cars run from Augusta to
Conyer's Station, and he thought the remainder of the road would be
completed to Atlanta within two or three weeks at farthest. Other
roads are undergoing repairs, and promise to be ready for trial very
soon. |
