Locomotive Explosion |
About nine o'clock yesterday morning, when
the down train on the {Virginia} Central
railroad was near Wickham's Crossing, Hanover county, the engine
"E. Fontaine" exploded, killing instantly the engineer James
Ramsey, and wounded a negro. Ramsey's mutilated remains were brought
to the city yesterday evening. The cause of the explosion is not
known. |
