Mail Failures |
As an evidence of the
incessant occupation of the railroads in the transportation of troops,
munitions and stores, we received no mail North of Weldon except the
Norfolk Day Book, on Monday and Tuesday evenings, the cars being so
crowded that not even the mail bags or passengers, unconnected with
the army, could be taken on board. |
