Lynchburg, Feb. 24 |
The railroad bridge on the
South Side Railroad, near Lynchburg, was destroyed by fire this
afternoon, about five o'clock. |

burnt this afternoon was two spans of the South Side Railroad bridge,
crossing James river and connecting the island with the {Virginia
&} Tennessee
depot. |
