The Winchester and Strasburg Railroad
Connection |
This question, being the
unfinished business of yesterday, was now taken up; and Mr. Hunter
resumed the discussion of the merits of his substitute, in opposition to
the views and amendments proposed by Mr. Steger. |
Mr. Steger commenced a reply,
but the hour having arrived for the resumption of the order of the day
-- the Military Bill -- the debate was cut short. |
The questions involved in the
discussion of this (railroad) bill being simply the practicability and
constitutionality of the several propositions, and being of no peculiar
interest to the reader, a full report of the points brought forward is
deemed unnecessary, while a condensed report would render them obscure
and, perhaps unintelligible. |
