South-Side Railroad |
The bill "to authorise an
alteration in the line of the South-side railroad" was taken up on
motion of Mr. Dickinson, of Prince Edward, who explained the bill by
saying that it was only intended to make a divergence of six or seven
miles near the High Bridge, to avoid that structure. |
The voting resulted -- ayes 37, noes none. |

divergance at or near Rice's depot, in Prince Edward county, to some
point at or near the town of Farmville, provided it shall first be
authorised by a vote of the stockholders, was taken up and passed. |
