Accommodation Train Between Charlottesville and
Richmond |
On and after Monday, June 15th, an
Accommodation Train for passengers and express freight will leave
Charlottesville daily, Sundays excepted, at 2:30 A. M., and arrive at
Richmond at 9:15 A. M. Returning, will leave Richmond at 3 o'clock P.
M., and arrive at Charlottesville at 9:45 P M. This train offers
facilities for transportation of milk, fresh meats and vegetables to
Richmond, and a part of one of the company's warehouses will be
temporarily fitted up for the sale of such articles by any person who
may choose to bring them by the train. Articles consigned to L. D. Sizer,
one of the company's agents, will be sold by him at this place on
commission, where persons do not wish to come to the city. By this
arrangement persons living at a distance can obtain for articles usually
of little value to them, the market rates of Richmond. The company will
return empty buckets, tins, &c., which have been sent to Richmond with
articles for sale, free of charge. |
