An Examining Trip |
A few days ago the Examining Committee of
the Virginia Central R. R. Company, accompanied by the President and
Superintendent, took passage in a special train from this city, and
made a leisurely trip to Millboro, the present western terminus of the
road. The Committee was greatly pleased and somewhat surprised to find
the road in such comparatively good condition after more than a year
of unprecedented hard service. This fact speaks well for the general
management of the road. The Committee returned after some five or six
days absence, having visited and carefully examined all of the most
important parts of the road. |
