Notice |
Persons interested are notified that hereafter
preference will be given in the transportation of freight. First, to
army stores, and then to other Government freight. As long as the
latter is offered it will be carried to the exclusion of all private
freight, and this company will not hold itself responsible for any
delay or damage resulting therefrom, for any freight belonging to
individuals, so long as that of the Government is offered for
transportation. Shippers will take notice and not send freight forward
(especially that of perishable character,) until they have first
ascertained when transportation can be furnished. Information can
always be obtained in relation to transportation by application to the
General Superintendent at Lynchburg. |
