The "Hero," a splendid
locomotive, drawn, together with the "Job Terry," by the {Virginia}
Central Railroad Company, from among the
number recently captured at Manassas, arrived on yesterday. The
"Hero" is one of the finest locomotives belonging to the
"United States Military Railroads." Her diameter of cylinder
is sixteen inches, stroke twenty-four inches, and diameter of drivers
four feet six inches. |
