To the Stockholders of the Virginia Central Rail Road

The annual meeting
of the Stockholders of the Virginia Central Rail Road Company will be
held in the city of Richmond on Thursday the 18th November, 1861. |
The attention of the
Stockholders is called to the following extracts from the by laws of
the Company, viz: |
33 All proxies to
represent stockholders at a general meeting shall be in writing and
signed by the person thus transferring the power
partnerships may sign in the name of the partnership, and the
signature of either member of the firm shall be valid. No proxy shall
be valid given more than sixty days prior to the meeting of the
Company. |
34 No proxy for
individual stockholders shall pass free going to or returning from the
meetings of the Company, unless he is himself a stockholder. |
