Getting along |
The railway
intended to connect the {Richmond &} Petersburg
and Fredericksburg {Richmond, Fredericksburg
& Potomac} railroad is being pushed along with
extraordinary vigor. It will soon be done. It is being carried along
up 8th street past the Spotswood House, and the intention is, we
believe, to go straight to Broad street at its intersection with 8th,
making the turn at that point. The connection, which is deemed a
military necessity, will facilitate the transportation of our troops
and munitions of war in a marked degree. |
