| Two or more first-class
passenger engines, heretofore in use on the {Alexandria,}
Londoun & Hampshire Railroad,
have been taken possession of by the Patriot forces and moved to this
city. They will hereafter be run on the {Virginia}
Central or Fredericksburg {Richmond,
Fredericksburg & Potomac} roads, as may best serve the
public interest. Several fine engines belonging to the Baltimore &
Ohio Railroad have been seized by our
forces, and will soon be put to better use than conveying bands of
armed brigands across the sacred soil of the Old Dominion. |
