The 14th general annual
meeting of the Stockholders in the Virginia & Tennessee Railroad
Company will be held at the office of the company, in the city of
Lynchburg, on Wednesday, the 11th of September next, by order of the
board. |

Know all men by these
presents: That we, the subscribers, being stockholders in the Virginia
and Tennessee Railroad Company, do
hereby constitute and appoint — our true and lawful attorney and
proxy to represent each of us in all general meetings of the stock
holders of said company, when we are not personally present, with full
power and authority at such general meetings to give such vote or
votes, and to do such other act or acts, as each of us could give or
do if we were personally present. |
