| About one hundred tons of ice -- 3 car
loads {one of the numbers is wrong -- 100 tons
would have required over 12 cars; three cars would have carried 24
tons}-- were brought to this city yesterday, from Fredericksburg
. The article is very much in demand in this city. The lack of it has
enhanced the price of drinks about one hundred per cent. |
