Notice -- Piedmont Railroad Company |
By authority vested in me by the General
Commissioners of the Piedmont Company at their meeting in the city of
Richmond, held the 29th day of April last, requiring me to advertise
for a meeting of the subscribers to the capital stock of the said
company, so soon as I was advised that one hundred thousand dollars of
the capital stock had been taken, and five per cent thereon paid in.
In obedience thereto, I hereby give notice that I have been informed
by A. Y. Stokes, Lewis E. Harvie, and
Thomas W. Brockenbrough, Commissioners appointed under the charter to
receive subscriptions in the city of Richmond, that the entire capital
of said company (15,000 shares) had been subscribed on the books
opened by them, and the amount of five per cent, paid of the
Stockholders. Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the subscribers
to the capital stock of the Piedmont Railroad will be held in the town
of Greensborough, N. C., next for the purpose of organizing the company. |
