Mr. R. F. Bibb, contractor on
the Covington & Ohio Railroad, who
has about 150 of the negro convicts from the Penitentiary in his
employ, was in the city yesterday for the purpose of offering their
services to the Governor to work on fortifications for the defence of
the State. |
