Diabolical |
As the down train on the Va. & Tenn.
Railroad approached Buford's Depot Tuesday, it came near being thrown
over a precipice sixty feet deep. Some fiend had removed a rail
from its place which was not observed in time, and the cars dashed on
over the gap, though fortunately they were not thrown off. The
Franklin. Light Horse and Rifle companies were on board, but happily
"nobody was hurt." Suspicion rests upon a discharged
employee of the road.--Lynchburg Virginian. |
