We regret to learn Capt. Thos. R. Sharp,
Assistant Quartermaster, had his left leg broken Sundaymorning, about
4 o'clock, by falling in a culvert on the Virginia Central Railroad,
while assisting in forwarding the train for the relief of persons
injured by the accident mentioned above. Capt Sharp's services have
been very valuable in removing the Baltimore
&
Ohio
engines to this city, and also in moving the army stores from Manassas. Just at this time his services are much needed by the Confederacy,
and it will be very hard to find a person equally well qualified to
attend to his duties until his recovery. |
