| Piedmont Railroad |
| We are glad to learn from the
Danville Register that it is expected the Piedmont Railroad
will be completed, so that the trains will be running through
from Danville
to Greensborough by the 1st of June. This is a most important
connection, and ought to have been completed long ago. No pains should
be spared to fulfill the expectation of the public. When finished, the
Piedmont Railroad will be an inestimable
auxiliary to the Confederate cause. |
