A special to the Atlanta
Appeal, from Macon, Miss, says that the Yankees are all across the Big
Black. They burned nothing in Canton. They captured and carried off three officers of the Mississippi
Central Railroad, and many negroes, and
destroyed provisions wherever found. They burned many houses in the
country. The railroad is running from
above within a few miles of Canton. |
