The following communication has
been this day received from the Assistant Provost Marshal: |

Dear Sir, |
In order to render effective the
military regulation concerning the transportation
of passengers upon your road, who are unprovided with passports, you
will please require for the present that the cars pass through after
leaving the depot at Richmond without stopping. |

In accordance with this order
the publics are hereby notified that the mail train will not stop at
Manchester, as heretofore, and passengers from that place will have to
take the cars at the Richmond terminus. |
