The Speaker laid before the House a
communication from the Governor, relative to the seizure by the
Confederate Government, for the use of the Piedmont railroad, certain
iron belonging to the Virginia Central railroad, and enclosing papers
protesting against the same by Ed. Fontaine,
President. The message and accompanying documents were referred to the
Committee on Confederate Relations. |
