Railroad Accident |
The Petersburg Express, of 4th inst., says: |
When the freight train, due in this city
from Gaston {Petersburg RR} on Monday
evening {December 2}, had approached to
within three miles of Jarratt's Depot the axle-tree of one of the
foremost cars broke, causing five cars to be thrown off the track,
breaking several of them to pieces, and very materially injuring the
balance The accident caused much inconvenience to the regular trains on
the road yesterday, most all of which were thrown considerably out of
time either way. |
